How to make a Barton Bed	We travelled by coach from school to Barton. The journey took about three hours. When we arrived we had our picnic lunches before finding our tents. The camp rules were explained to us.Then the Warden, Mrs Moule, showed us how to make our bed.  This was quite difficult, but we got used to it.
This is how we made our bed.  We lined up at the bedding room and we collected three blankets each from Mrs Palmer. Then we went to our tents and made our beds.  We put the first blanket over the bed with half off the bed, then we got the second blanket half on and half off (the opposite way).	Giving out blankets

We then put our sleeping bags on top and then put the first blanket (the one that was hanging down) over the top of the sleeping bag.  We then did it again with the second blanket.  Finally we put the third blanket over the top with a bit hanging over each side and the end. Then we tuck it all under the sleeping bag.  It was all very hard work.
